Using sound and wavelength to move rocks

Here’s a page from Scott Hill and Guy Lyon Playfair’s book, The Cycles of Heaven, (used without permission) which I bought in 1979 when I was 15. This account of Tibetan monks using the sound from drums and horns to move rocks up a sheer mountain face includes detailed measurements: the monks stand in a 90 degree arc at a distance of 63 meters from the stone to be moved, which is placed over a shallow cutting in the ground and is 250 meters from the cliff face behind.

On a whim this afternoon, I used this frequency calculator to figure out the frequency of the sound wavelength at 63 meters and 250 meters. It turns out, it’s 5.45 Hz for the 63 meter distance from monk to stone at 20 degrees centigrade and 5.26 Hz at 0 degrees centigrade; and 1.3728 Hz at 20 degrees centigrade for the 250 meters from stone to cliff – which if you multiply it by 2 a few times, turns out to be a sub-octave of 5.49 Hz (and 5.3 Hz at 0 degrees centigrade (freezing)). We don’t know at what time of the year this experiment was conducted, but Tibet is likely to be chilly!

So, the resonant wave between the monks and the stone to be moved is our 5.4 Hz magic “still-point” vibration for F which we documented on the home-page; and for the distance between the stone and the reflective cliff the frequency is also a sub-octave of this F.

The total wavelength from the monks to the reflective cliff behind is (63 meters plus 250 meters) = 313 meters. At 0 degrees centigrade, the wavelength is 1.0585 Hz (which if you octave it up (multiply by 2) a bunch of times = 270.97 Hz (our C-sharp is 270 Hz).

The relationship between C-sharp and F is a major 3rd. And from F at 5.4 Hz to C# is a major 3rd (x 5) of a major 3rd (A) (x 5) = 135 Hz x 2 = our C#.

So, there you have it folks: the secret to moving masonry with sound is to create a resonance around infrasonic vibrations of our F frequency, with a harmonic of an augmented 5th at the same time.

The theory of how this works put forward by Swedish aircraft designer Henry Kjellson, who recorded this event and drew the diagram, is that the sound creates a low pressure wave above the rock, and atmospheric pressure moves it up the cliff. The author recounts that he watched the monks move several pieces of stone in this way, although some broke on landing.

I don’t really get that surprised these days when I find that the F and B-flat frequencies which made themselves known to me, displaying remarkable properties that suggest they are fundamental to the fabric of the universe. But this seems like a bit of amazing lost knowledge which we may be able to explain and revive. How the Mayan temples and Egyptian pyramids were built might be related. Some of you may be thinking, “Jules, you’re just going too far – sound isn’t stronger than gravity”. But the notion of Tibetan monks levitating themselves and objects is almost a legend – something we’ve all heard of but which seems to have died out with the incursion of outside cultures. But we find one carefully documented and measured account, and find that the distances and the sound-waves are precisely the “magic” frequency for F which I’ve documented on the home-page as creating a resonant still point against the background resonance of our universe. So, it could just be another coincidence – but at some point the coincidences stack up to such a point that they become evidence.

Forty years on, I see that this book – actually the first non-fiction book I bought – seems to have been at the core of my interests all my life; and even the name (The Cycles of Heaven) is closely connected to the name of this website, the Harmonics of Nature – something I didn’t think about when I named it. In fact, I bought The Cycles Of Heaven with a book-token I had won at school. It was the only book in the store that “spoke” to me. The subconscious takes us on journeys we don’t realise we’re on, until we look back.

It is channeled information but incredibly intelligent and they mention that sound was used to move the large stones for the pyramids as well as other archeological sites. It is also mentioned in the documentary BAM Builder of the Ancient Mysteries. I happened upon your blog after watching the documentary and found it interesting about your comments of F and B flat. I am excited as there is so much more to learn…starting with some of your blog pages.

      Interesting what he says about knowledge being found and lost due to our own outlook. I myself find myself being reminded of the power and opportunities of this information by readers such as yourself.

      1. The day of Brahma is 4.32 million years: the same numbers as A at 432 Hz

      2. The Indian mathematician and astronomer Bhashara Acharya, who lived at the beginning of the twelfth century, in his work “Siddhanta Shiromani” (“Crown of Creation”) mentions the unit of measurement of time “trutti” equal to 0.3375 seconds.

      I tried to identify this number by finding its octaves (multiply by 2). 0.3375 x 16 = 5.4, which is the lowest frequency I found with my sound generator displaying an interference pattern with time and space. That is, if you created a vibration once every 0.3375 seconds, you would be playing our magical F frequency of 5.4 Hz exactly, but 8 octaves below!

      When asked where he found this measurement, Bhashara Acharya says he took it from an earlier source. The fabric of space and time seems to have revealed itself throughout history.

    1. Hi Christian – well, the rest of the site talks more about the frequencies. I would suggest some experiments using these distances and frequencies or a scaled down version. It’s a good idea. I might try it this summer.

    1. Hi SoilLife. Robert Grant believes that A should be 432.081216 Hz. And he uses some exponent mathematics to achieve that.

      In my experience, I detected three frequencies that, as it turns out, are directly harmonics of a Day: 7.2 Hz (B-flat), and 5.4 and 10.8 Hz (F). You can see my video of this phenomenon here: http://www.harmonicsofnature.com.

      There are different ways to determine the frequency for A, but the 5th harmonic of that F frequency (10.8 Hz x 5 = 54 Hz, 54 Hz x 8 (octaved up) = 432 Hz, precisely. I didn’t set out to “prove” 432 Hz, but there it is as a powerful harmonic of the frequency I had detected. And it is not 432.081216 Hz.

      Robert Grant I think is trying to achieve some kind of “temperament” by averaging the frequencies. But the Earth that we live on does not exist based on averages, it exists based on rotation and harmonics.

      The three frequencies I detected include an octave (10.8 Hz is double 5.4 Hz), and a 3rd harmonic (7.2 Hz x 3/4 = 5.4 Hz). So, this phenomenon indicates a harmonic propagation of something interfering with audio through electro-magnetism.

      What I later discovered is that a 3rd harmonic below that B-flat of 7.2 Hz (7.2 Hz / 3 = 2.4 Hz, 2.4 Hz / 8 = 0.3 Hz) is an E-flat frequency which corresponds to the ancient Babylonian and Hebrew measure of time, the Helek (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helek). The Helek is 3.333 of today’s seconds and is the time it takes the Earth to rotate 1 / 72nd of a degree.

      An octave of that E-flat (0.3 * 32 = 9.6 Hz) is a frequency that has been measured as a peak in the Earth’s electro-magnetic field (https://youtu.be/tLC8fgqw3Zk). So, the ancient’s understood the significance of these frequencies and based their version of the second on them. (The second we have was not invented until the 16th century https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second)

      So, if a Helek is the time it takes the Earth to rotate 1/72nd of a degree, then the frequencies I had found are also divisions of the Earth’s daily rotation, electro-magnetic frequencies generated from that rotation: my B-flat is the time it takes the Earth to rotate 1 / (72 x 3 = 1 / 216 degrees (or, using octaves 216/8 = 1 / 27th of a degree). And my F which is the 3rd harmonic of the B-flat is 3 times that: (1 / 27 x 3 = 1/81st of a degree of Earth’s rotation.)

      And A at 432 Hz is the 5th harmonic of the F (10.8 Hz x 5 = 54 Hz, and octave it up (x 8) = 432 Hz, precisely. And (1/81st of a degree x 5 = 1 / 405th of a degree of the Earth’s daily rotation. That’s 432.00 Hz, not 432.081216 Hz as Robert Grant seems to think.

      So, Nature is very simple: harmonics of the Earth, like harmonics on a stretched string, or in a chamber like a flute, arise at whole-number multiples of the fundamental frequency. For us here on Earth, the fundamental, electro-gravitational frequency that creates the field we all live in is the Day – the daily rotation of the Earth. The fact that I detected those three frequencies, which can be labelled as B-flat and F, and the fact that the ancient Helek is a frequency precisely a 3rd-harmonic below these, and that all of these are 3rd and 5th harmonics of the Day, as I have shown in the table here (https://harmonicsofnature.com/a-day-is-g/), means that that is where the natural harmonics come from: from our Day And that it is 3rd and 5th harmonics primarily which are the “carrier” which brings this phenomenon from the Day into the frequency-range we can detect.

      Also, recently I have been experimenting with natural sounds played against the harmonic musical scale I have created, and I find that the animals and Nature do seem to be all “singing” within this scale. https://harmonicsofnature.com/the-sun-is-d/. Let me know what you think.

      I think Robert Grant is taking a step backwards, applying some complicated exponential mathematical technique to try and describe something which simply emanates out of matter at all times: spin and harmonics based on whole-number multiples. When you touch a vibrating guitar string a 3rd of the way along it’s length you get a vibration 3 times higher than the original – that’s how Nature works. My numbers are correct, and his are wrong! 🙂

      However, somehow he has done a better job at reaching a wider audience. So, people like you can help make that happen for this information! Thanks for replying and enquiring. It’s curiosity, and the willingness to question received knowledge, which gets us to the truth. Probably I need to make some videos too!

  3. great article Julian and something i also have a great fascination in. My theory on the movement of the rock was to first ascertain its resonant frequency using some method. One method could be to place the rock half submeged in water,hit it hard then start to record the movement the water makes. After multile rocks you can start to form a table. I’m sure there would be other methods if anyone would like to contribute 🙂

    Once the resonant frequency is found then that is the frequency produced by a chant/singing bowl or instrument. This can already be seen with tuning forks tuned to the same frequency, the other one will still vibrate in sympathy once the other one stops. If that frequency were to be replicated in a resonant chamber for eg like the ones found in egypt then i can imagine the force to be powerful.

    At this point you could dive into adding the subharmonic to the base frequency note of the rock, so like in your example if the rocks resonates at F then its possible a sub frequency on the major third C# will get it moving.

    All rocks i belive contain traces of metals and are more likely to vibrate or move if the same frequecy of the rock is generated. would love to hear everyones thoughts.

    1. Nice one Mark. Yes, whether the frequency needs to be optimized to the rock material, or whether there’s one set of frequencies that negate gravity for all kinds of matter, or whether it’s a combination of both – that’s an area to experiment.
